Suncorp risk chief departs
Suncorp Chief Risk and Legal Officer Anna Lenahan is leaving the group to take a senior role at Commonwealth Bank.
Ms Lenahan, who will depart in September, joined Suncorp in March 2011 as EGM Group General Counsel and Company Secretary.
CBA has appointed her Group General Counsel.
“While disappointing, I can understand why Anna has been attracted to this opportunity,” CEO Michael Cameron said.
Ms Lenahan has been involved in Suncorp’s strategic legal review program, capital raising initiatives and resolution of the non-core bank portfolio.
Her departure comes shortly after the decision of Banking and Wealth CEO John Nesbitt to retire later this year. He joined the group in 2010.
Mr Cameron, who became CEO last October, says Mr Nesbitt will pursue board directorships.
Suncorp will conduct internal and external searches to fill both positions.
