Steadfast’s Kelly steps down from Johns Lyng board

Johns Lyng Group says Steadfast CEO and MD Robert Kelly has retired as a non-executive director on its board with immediate effect.

The building services provider made the announcement on Friday as part of changes to its board composition. Executive director Adrian Gleeson has also stepped down but will continue as an executive of the company, while Alison Terry joined the board on Friday.

Johns Lyng says Ms Terry brings “significant expertise” in sustainability, corporate affairs, legal, company secretarial, and general management, having held executive positions including director of sustainability and corporate affairs and joint company secretary at Fortescue Metals Group.

She has also taken on non-executive roles at RAC Insurance and AustralianSuper.

“On behalf of the board and the entire Johns Lyng Group, I want to extend our gratitude to Mr Kelly and Mr Gleeson for their significant contributions,” chairman Peter Nash said. “Both have been instrumental in driving the company’s success since our listing, playing vital roles in shaping our growth strategy and operational performance.”

He says Ms Terry was appointed after an extensive search process.

“Her impressive track record as a strategic and results-driven executive, combined with her deep expertise in governance and sustainability, makes her the perfect fit for the next phase of our board’s evolution,” Mr Nash said. “We are confident her input will further support our focus on expanding our strategic growth pillars.”

With the changes announced on Friday, Johns Lyng says its board now comprises of eight directors, six of whom are independent non-executives.
