Pursuit Underwriting has partnered with Berkley Insurance Australia to provide cover for recreation, wellness and tourism risks.

The agency, which begins trading today, is led by former Sports Underwriting Australia MD Warren Mills, who has more than 25 years’ experience in the Australian and London sports and leisure markets.

The products encompass general liability, professional indemnity and management liability.

The Pursuit brand has been positioned to encompass leisure activities outside of work and the agency offers cover aimed at instructors and practitioners, studios, centres, tour operators and various facilities. Activities include tai chi, naturopathy, retreats, meditation, city tours, kayaking and canoeing, mini golf and bushwalking. 

“We’re here to support our intermediary partners and their clients with the very best products and underwriting expertise, backed up with local insurer claims handling,” Mr Mills said. 

Pursuit is supported by underwriting agency investment and services company Iffinity, which last year backed Haven Underwriting.
