New director brings gender balance to Hollard
Hollard has appointed Jane Tongs as a non-executive director, meaning women now occupy half of the insurer’s 10 board seats.
“She brings to Hollard a proven track record of operating successfully at the executive and board level for more than 35 years,” CEO Richard Enthoven said.
“Her appointment… gives us a pleasing 50-50 gender split and further strengthens our board’s breadth, depth of talent and commitment to cognitive diversity.”
Ms Tongs is non-executive Chairman of Australian Prime Property Funds and a non-executive director at Catholic Church Insurance, Cromwell Property Group and the Australian Energy Market Operator, according to her LinkedIn profile.
She previously worked as a financial services and litigation partner with PwC.
