Marsh has officially backed same-sex marriage in Australia, as the national survey continues.

CEO Scott Leney says the international broker is “proud to affirm its support”.

“It gives me immense pride to lead a company that holds a clear point of view on issues of equality in our society and that openly celebrates diversity and inclusion in our workplace,” he wrote on LinkedIn.

In a statement, Marsh says it “firmly believes” in the principles of equality, dignity and inclusion.

“Respecting, valuing and leveraging the individual differences of our entire workforce, and actively working towards a diverse and inclusive workplace, helps us to ensure our companies are places where the most talented people want to work,” it says.

The same-sex marriage plebiscite closes on November 7.
