Marsh appoints new NZ chief

Marsh has appointed Marcus Pearson as Country Head of New Zealand, effective from next January.

He will report to CEO Pacific Region Scott Leney, and be based in Auckland.

The appointment marks a return for Mr Pearson, who spent seven years at Marsh until 2009 as manager of strategic risk and practice leader, competitive strategy.

Since then he has been with JLT as GM business development NSW, and then as MD business development.

As head of New Zealand Mr Pearson will focus on driving client value through risk advisory and risk financing solutions.

He will also oversee Marsh’s Fiji business, working with Country Head Daniel Yee.
