Insurers explore Flamingo virtual assistant technology
Artificial intelligence provider Flamingo AI says insurers are moving ahead with testing and use of its virtual assistant technology.
Ten clients are progressing through paid trials or software and services contracts across the US, Australia and Asia, with the group’s focus mainly on large insurance enterprises, it says.
Nine clients are using the Virtual Sales Assistant and one is deploying the Virtual Service Assistant.
Liberty Mutual and AMP are in live-evaluation mode, where end customers interact with Cognitive Virtual Assistants, while Chubb is among companies moving through earlier trial phases.
Nationwide Mutual has extended a monthly arrangement after completing a six-month review, Flamingo says.
Uses for the group’s technology include auto insurance quotations and payment, life insurance quotations and travel insurance and home and contents applications.
