Tim Olive will replace David Turner as CEO of Housing Industry Association Insurance Services (HIAIS) from January 30.

Mr Turner leaves Aon’s joint venture with the Housing Industry Association (HIA) after nine years in the role, but will remain as Chairman.

Mr Olive is currently HIA’s CEO Business Solutions, a position he has held for almost three years. Before that he was COO, CFO and financial controller with the company.

He will implement the HIAIS growth strategy from Aon’s Canberra office.

“Tim’s expertise in the residential construction industry and in-depth understanding of the HIA business is second to none, and will be valuable as he leads HIAIS to future growth and success,” Aon Australia CEO Lambros Lambrou said.

“I am excited to have him part of the team, and I have no doubt that he will continue to position us strongly as the leading insurance broker for the industry.”

Mr Olive has been on the HIAIS board since 2008.
