Broker Arthur J Gallagher has struck a partnership deal with automotive industry peak body the Institute of Automotive Mechanical Engineers (IAME) and its insurance arm IAME Insurance Solutions.

The agreement gives IAME member businesses such as panel beaters, motor mechanics and smash repairers access to specialist insurance products and services through Gallagher.

Gallagher’s National Strategic Partnerships Manager Tania O’Day says meeting the needs of local industries and businesses is a strategic focus for the broker.

“Our role is to come in with a deep understanding of the specific risks [business owners] face so we can help to protect the business and its people.”

Gallagher has developed the Motor Trades Plus package for IAME members. It provides members with a base cover and additional benefits specific to the automotive trade industry, including accidental damage, transit cover and seasonal increases for catastrophe events.
