Gallagher Bassett EGM Statutory Workers’ Compensation John McNamara has been promoted to MD Australia.

He will start the new role on January 1, taking over from Jon Winsbury, who has been appointed International VP.

Mr McNamara joined the third-party claims administrator in 2004 as Victorian claims operations manager, winning promotion to state GM two years later.

He has been in his current position since 2012, overseeing workers’ compensation operations in Victoria, NSW and SA. Mr McNamara has 27 years’ experience in the industry.
