Zurich-owned Cover-More has expanded the range of benefits available through its agency travel policies, and for the first time is offering “cancel for any reason” as an insurance option.

The cancellation cover can insure up to a certain level for events such as failing to get leave approved at work, deciding not to travel due to a terrorist event, a friend or relative becoming sick, or unexpectedly breaking up with a partner.

Other new benefits include insurance for cancelled tours due to lack of numbers, delays because of terrorism and travel service provider insolvency.

Policies provide add-on insurance for motorcycles and mopeds with 200cc-plus engines and for heli and off-piste skiing and other adventure sports.

Increased cover is offered on an existing new-for-old luggage benefit.

GM Sales and Marketing Mike Stein says Cover-More has introduced two new umbrella policies, comprehensive care and essentials care, at different price points, and the opportunity for travellers to tailor their purchase according to trip requirements.
