Agile adds casualty to its product lineup

Agile Underwriting has moved into the casualty space as the multi-class insurtech looks to expand its business in Australia.

Nathan Sommer joined the business in December as GM Casualty, overseeing the launch of the casualty product. Later this month Steve Ross will start as Casualty Southern Region Underwriting Manager.

“Casualty is a growing space in the Australian market, and by bolstering the product offering that Agile already has casualty is just one of those other products that really aligns itself quite well with what we already offer,” Mr Sommer told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

“People are becoming more aware of what their exposures are and certainly in ensuring that their businesses are protected in the best possible way.”

Agile CEO and co-founder Robin Barham says the business has assembled a strong team to grow its casualty book.

He says Mr Sommer and Mr Ross “will contribute to the continued success and growth of the underwriting agency. Agile is confident that our casualty products will provide brokers with the expertise and coverage they are looking for.”

Agile’s other product offerings are aviation, financial lines, cyber and emerging risks, accident and health, and travel insurance.
