Allianz CIO David Gillespie will become Steadfast Group’s new CTO, effective from May.

Before his three-year stint at Allianz, Mr Gillespie held senior roles at TAL and Fidelity Worldwide Investment, and he has more than 20 years’ leadership experience in digital, technology and transformation for financial services organisations.

Steadfast says he will “spearhead a visionary technology strategy”, advance “market-leading insurtech products” the Steadfast Client Trading Platform and Insight system, and drive the company’s digital transformation. 

Group MD and CEO Robert Kelly says Mr Gillespie’s “vast international expertise” will be crucial “as we continue to develop our world-class insurance technology to benefit our broker network and their clients”.

Mr Gillespie says he is impressed by Steadfast’s international expansion and “unwavering focus” on innovative products and services.

“I look forward to using my skills to streamline, scale and transform the group, offering our network and subsidiaries a competitive edge in this ever-changing industry landscape,” he said.
