NIBA Convention’s ‘great debate’ tackles digital challenge

The “great debate” is returning to the National Insurance Brokers Association Convention, with this year’s topic focused on the digital transition.

The debate format, in which teams of experts line up against each other, was a popular feature at last year’s convention.

This year the motion is: “Insurance brokers ‘must’ transition to a digital-first model to survive in the next five years. Only those who adopt a digital-first approach will meet the evolving demands of clients and remain competitive.”

NIBA says: “This promises to ignite an entertaining, engaging and insightful debate about the future of insurance brokers.

“Representatives from the wider insurance industry and the broking community will go head to head as they try to put up convincing arguments for and against this statement.

“The debate will feature participants from two teams, each comprising a mix of insurers and brokers.”

The NIBA Convention takes place from October 20-22 at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

“With 51 speakers, 21 sessions and around 800 delegates, you’ll engage with and hear from leading politicians, entrepreneurs, industry thought leaders and more,” NIBA says.
