Howden teams up with sports charity
Howden has announced a three-year partnership supporting charity group Reclink Australia’s sporting and recreational activity program for disadvantaged people.
Reclink is a national network that connects social agencies with community-partnered sport and recreation facilities, corporate bodies, governments and philanthropic groups to provide opportunities for its clients.
Howden will be a national sponsor of Reclink’s Community Cup fundraiser, to be held in Melbourne in June. The broker will also serve as a national partner for other events.
Reclink Australia CEO Dave Wells says Howden’s support has been crucial for the charity’s launch and the management of its data collection program, Club Reclink.
“We are very excited to be partnering with Howden Insurance Brokers – this new major partnership will support Reclink Australia to grow and innovate to the benefit of our thousands of participants and we look forward to sharing these achievements with Howden staff and our stakeholders, every step of the way,” he said.
Howden Australia CEO Matt Bacon says the company is proud to support Reclink, which “plays such a unique role in the community development and health services sectors”.
“We ... are proud to be backing the only national charity leveraging the infrastructure and people resources across hundreds of grassroots clubs and sporting bodies to implement different sport and recreation activities that impact Australia positively,” he said.
