Honan integration ‘progressing well’: Marsh

Marsh Pacific CEO Josh Roach says good progress is being made integrating Honan into its operations, as staff from the acquired brokerage moved into Marsh offices.

Marsh closed the acquisition in December for reportedly $700 million and has relocated Honan's operations into Marsh's offices across Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore.

"The integration continues to progress well," Mr Roach told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

"We've had overwhelmingly positive feedback from colleagues across the teams...and our program of work to fully integrate our businesses will continue, as planned, throughout the course of the year."

Former Honan CEO Andrew Fluitsma is now serving as Marsh's Pacific Head of Corporate and Commercial.

Other new titles have been announced on LinkedIn. Poppy Foxton, who served as Honan's National Head of Corporate Insurance and Risk Solutions, will now operate as Marsh's Corporate and Commercial NSW Leader, while former Honan COO Laurence Basell has been named Marsh Australia and New Zealand Head of Strategy.

"We are excited to be bringing the best of both organisations to our clients, who are already benefiting from the combined capabilities of both businesses," Mr Roach said.

The firm is expected to make more announcements on the merger's progress as it continues with the transition.
