Blue Zebra has appointed Aaron Langmaid as head of cyber, replacing Richard Smith after his move to Rhodian’s Sync Underwriting.

Mr Langmaid joins from IAG-backed cyber insurer Cylo, where he was market development head for Australia and New Zealand after the business’ launch last May.

He previously worked in IAG’s cyber product management team, where he was involved in the creation of Cylo.

Blue Zebra says Mr Langmaid joins as it enters a “phase of dedicated growth and product and portfolio alignment within the SME space”.

Mr Langmaid wrote on LinkedIn that he is “looking forward to embracing the challenge in a swiftly evolving space and [to] start driving-long term, sustainable growth across the portfolio”.
