Austbrokers Corporate has named John Kay as CEO and promoted Phillip Agah to head of broking.

Mr Kay, who has more than 20 years’ industry experience, joined the business in March last year as head of general broking. He has been acting CEO since October.

“This transition follows the leadership of John Saunders, who remains a key part of our team as executive director and will continue to play a vital role in our ongoing success,” Austbrokers Corporate said on LinkedIn.

Mr Kay previously held leadership roles at AIG, Allianz, Network Insurance Group and consultant Quantaco.

Mr Agah joined Austbrokers Corporate in 2023 as national practice group manager for financial lines.

“With extensive experience at multinational firms across Australia, London and Singapore, he brings strong technical expertise and a talent for developing innovative risk solutions,” the company said.

“His leadership will further enhance our broking operations and client offerings.”

Austbrokers Corporate, which is part of AUB Group, focuses on corporate Australia and multinational business.
