AIG has appointed Ryan Thomas as Head of Financial Lines Asia-Pacific.

Mr Thomas has spent nine years at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, most recently as directors’ and officers’ manager in Sydney.

He moves to Singapore for the role with AIG, where he worked from 2002 to 2008 in Sydney and New York before joining Suncorp for six years.

“With over 20 years’ underwriting experience, Ryan brings a wealth of technical expertise and leadership skills that will be critical in delivering on our growth strategies,” AIG Asia-Pacific Regional President Chris Colahan said.
