Swiss Re, Treasury, Lloyd’s to appear at floods inquiry
The Federal Parliamentary inquiry into insurers’ responses to the 2022 floods has scheduled a full-day hearing for this Friday, with industry and government executives set to appear.
Swiss Re is scheduled first, starting at 11am, followed by Treasury, the National Emergency Management Agency and Lloyd’s.
The inquiry has conducted hearings on seven days since January 31, with insurers, consumer groups, counselling groups and regulators among organisations that have appeared.
The House of Representatives Standing Committee on Economics is due to report by September 30.
