The federal government has invited submissions from individuals, community groups and businesses on ideas and priorities for the next budget.

“The government places significant importance on receiving submissions in developing its budget policies and strategy,” Assistant Treasurer Stephen Jones said.

“It is vital that policy development is informed by as wide a range of views as possible.”

Delivery of the 2025-26 budget has been brought forward to March 25, with a federal election expected by May.

Submissions are due by January 31.
