Claims from the hailstorm that hit northwest Victoria’s Mildura region earlier this month now total $120 million.

The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) declared the storm, which also affected parts of NSW and SA, a catastrophe after farmers were badly hit.

The Financial Ombudsman Service also activated its significant event response plan.
