The Insurance Council of Australia is expected to finalise details at the end of this week for people to head up its new policy directorates.

The positions to be filled are for the consumer, regulation, economic and taxation, risk and disaster planning directorates and a policy adviser role.

The role of Manager Government Relations has been filled by former ACT and NSW Regional Manager Allan Hansell and the GM Communications is Paul Giles, a former senior adviser to Immigration Minister Amanda Vanstone.
