Homeowners apply for Queensland cyclone resistance funding
More than 360 north Queensland households have applied for state government funding to make their homes more resilient to cyclones.
The Household Resilience program was launched on July 30 and 45 projects to upgrade older homes to make them more cyclone-resistant are already underway.
The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) has encouraged households to sign up soon to the program.
It says insurers are looking forward to reviewing the data to consider potential premium decreases for upgraded homes.
