Actuaries chief heads to Switzerland
The search is on for a new CEO at the Institute of Actuaries of Australia following the resignation of John Maroney after three years in the position.
An Institute spokesman told insuranceNEWS.com.au it has not yet been decided how wide the search will go, although interest is expected from Australia and overseas.
Mr Maroney is heading to Basel, Switzerland, to become a member of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors secretariat from September.
He will help develop many of the initiatives agreed at April’s G20 summit aimed at strengthening the prudential oversight of the global insurance market.
