Zurich has adopted UndewrWriteMe’s underwriting rules engine as part of a major overhaul of the insurer’s adviser-facing portal. It is the fourth company to adopt the engine this year.

UnderWriteMe is powered by reinsurer Pacific Life Re. It provides real time feedback and reporting. Its database of rules covers more than 6,500 medical conditions.

The engine uses a comprehensive database of industry standard questions that assess a person’s health and lifestyle, and offers an instant quote on life cover based on responses.
