Super Choice Bill introduced
The Superannuation Legislation Amendment (Choice of Superannuation Funds) Bill 2002 was introduced to Parliament last week, with an implementation date of July 1 2004.
Under the Bill employers will be required to comply with the choice of funds requirements, instead of employees being forced to choose their super fund from a list.
While the Bill brings good news for employees, the Opposition is concerned that it may lead to increased competition, fees and charges.
