MLC Life has appointed Mick Jones as Head of Underwriting.

Mr Jones is currently Chief Underwriter at HSBC in Hong Kong, and led a team of underwriters, claims consultants and operational staff across Asia. He joins MLC next month, reporting to Chief Underwriting Officer Debbie Kennedy.

Mr Jones will be responsible for making MLC’s new automated underwriting platform more efficient for advisers and customers. The platform was launched in April.
