MetLife names director as new chair
MetLife Australia has named Independent Non-Executive Director Nicola Wakefield Evans as Chair, taking over from Geoff Brunsdon, who is retiring after 13 years on the board.
The insurer says Ms Evans is a respected and experienced non-executive director of listed, government and private groups. She is also a mergers and acquisitions and equity capital markets lawyer with extensive governance experience.
“MetLife is at a turning point as we transform our business, leveraging technology to help us deliver a better customer experience and manage operational risk,” CEO Richard Nunn said. “As we do this, we will benefit from Nicola’s extensive governance experience.”
Former CareSuper CEO Julie Lander has joined the board to fill Ms Evans’ previous role.
