FPA offers free advice to disaster victims
Members of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) are offering pro bono financial advice to Australians affected by the recent natural disasters.
The free service is being offered to people affected by the Queensland and northern NSW floods as well as those who suffered losses in the Tasmanian, Victorian and NSW bushfires.
FPA CEO Mark Rantall says it is important that local communities affected by natural disasters receive proper financial advice to help them rebuild their lives.
“The FPA adviser community has come together to set up a pro bono service as a way to connect people affected by these crises with a local financial planner who can provide financial advice and help,” he said.
“The service aims to provide professional financial planning assistance to Australians who are financially disadvantaged and who would otherwise not be able to afford financial advice.”
