CommInsure has poached Macquarie Life’s Sally Phillips to be Head of Life Product and Strategy. 

She was previously divisional director and head of underwriting, claims and insurance proposition at Macquarie Life.

Dr Phillips was a founding member of Discovery Life, one of South Africa’s leading life insurers, and moved to Australia in 2008. 

She helped establish Macquarie Life’s Australian retail life insurance business.

At CommInsure she will be responsible for product management, product development and strategy across the life insurance business, reporting to GM Life Product and Distribution Craig Harrison.

“We have a clear direction to revitalise our presence in the retail advice market, while building on our strength and recent growth in direct and group insurance.”
