AIA is confident the new Life Insurance Code of Practice that was released by the Financial Services Council (FSC) last week is better aligned to community expectations.

The code will result in a fairer, simpler and more enforceable life insurance system that puts the customer first, the life insurer says.

AIA says it looks forward to joining the FSC’s upcoming public roadshows on the code.

The new code has more than 30 amendments addressing recommendations from a parliamentary joint committee inquiry into the life insurance industry.
