Swiss Re says Vanessa Lau and Pia Tischhauser will be nominees for its board member elections at its next Annual General Meeting in April next year. 

Ms Lau has served in several senior executive roles and currently operates as the Group Chief Financial Officer of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited.   

Ms Tischhauser previously worked as a member of the Executive Committee of Boston Consulting Group, a global management firm, from 2016 to 2021, where she headed its insurance practices.   

“We are delighted to attract two outstanding professionals for election to our Board of Directors. Vanessa Lau and Pia Tischhauser bring strong expertise in financial services and proven strategic skills,” Swiss Re’s Chairman of the Board of Directors Sergio P Ermotti said.   

The appointments will be subject to an election at Swiss Re’s Annual General Meeting on April 12 next year, following current board members Renato Fassbind and Susan L. Wagner announcing that they will not be standing for re-election.
