International loss adjuster McLarens (formerly McLarens Young International) has acquired Agrical as part of its expansion in the UK commercial claims market.

McLarens says the deal allows it to move into agriculture and related segments.

Agrical – which specialises in farm, estates, commercial leisure and high-net-worth markets – was formed in 2002 and employs 50 staff across 22 UK locations.

It will continue to operate independently and retain the same management team and workforce.

The move follows McLarens’ 2011 purchase of Airclaims and its recent move to secure a 50% share of Zurich’s commercial business.
