Lloyd’s Europe has announced Bertrand Heugues as its new Chief Underwriting Officer from July 14.

Mr Huegues will head the organisation’s strategic direction in key areas, including underwriting, delegate authority management, and claims and reinsurance businesses.

Mr Huegues previously served as Global Head of Pricing and Underwriting at Brussels-based insurer Ageas.

“He brings with him a wealth of experience and a commercial mindset which will continue to drive forward Lloyd’s strategy in Europe and enhance the offering to our customers,” Lloyd’s Europe CEO Amelie Breitburd said.
