Lloyd’s has summarily closed loss-making Syndicate 102, operated by Goshawk Insurance.

It’s an unusual step by Lloyd’s, revealing the tougher line on under-funded members introduced in last year’s overhaul of the market’s regulations. Goshawk made some big losses last year, and is expected to switch its focus to its reinsurance operations in Bermuda.
