Global specialist insurer Tokio Marine Kiln says Pavlos Spyropoulos has been appointed as Regional MD for Asia, replacing Alex Dugand, who is returning home to London to take up his new role as International Development Officer.

Mr Spyropoulos was most recently Lloyd’s Asia CEO. He relocated to Singapore in 2014 to assume responsibility for Lloyd’s market development in Asia and has since held a variety of senior roles.

He played an integral part in driving the strategic direction, promotion and oversight of Lloyd’s in Singapore as well as promoting Lloyd’s in south-east Asia.

Tokio Marine Kiln CEO Brad Irick says his experience in the Asian insurance sector “is impressive, and he has an excellent track record of leading high-performing teams”.
