'Incredible performance': Aon confident after $17 billion revenue

Aon says it has confidence strong momentum will continue this year after its revenue jumped 10% to $US12.2 billion ($17.25 billion) last year, including double-digit growth in Commercial Risk Solutions and Health Solutions.

Aon CEO Greg Case says it was “a year of incredible performance and a year that positions us for growth, innovation and momentum for 2022,” reinforced by global economic and societal trends and resulting challenges and opportunities for clients.

Adjusted earnings grew 22% per share in the full year and in the fourth quarter, Aon achieved its third consecutive quarter of double-digit organic revenue growth.

“The momentum we have going into 2022 is exceptional,” Mr Case said. “We're driving top and bottom line results and are exceptionally well positioned to continue to deliver ongoing performance in 2022 and over the long term.”

Mr Case expects “mid-single digit or greater” organic revenue growth, margin improvement and double-digit free cash flow growth in 2022 and subsequent years.

“We see that opportunity in 2022 and beyond, serving existing demand that's out there, but also net new demand and new addressable markets,” he said.

Aon is building relationships with cyber, intellectual property and data analytic-intensive businesses. It listed ongoing challenges faced by clients as covid and its effect on supply chains, growing concerns over climate change, commercial property, retirement readiness, regulatory changes, cyber and workforce resilience.
