Arthur J Gallagher posts strong third quarter

Arthur J Gallagher says it remains on course to exceed its full-year net earnings estimate by “low to mid-single digits”.

The global broker reported third-quarter net earnings of $US61.7 million ($59.51 million), up 32% on the corresponding period last year and just below analyst expectations of about $US67.78 million ($65.38 million).

Revenues were $US650 million ($627 million), up 16%.

CFO Douglas Howell says that based on a strong fourth quarter last year, organic growth this year of 3-5% will be “ideal”.

Chairman Patrick Gallagher says all segments are returning strong results.

Arthur J Gallagher has continued its bolt-on acquisition strategy this year, adding five brokerages this month alone.
