Committee Deputy Chairman Andrew Leigh congratulates Youi on the discounts they are passing on to motor insurance customers, saying that they are ahead of many of their competitors in this respect.

However, he says he's "less impressed" when he hears that the 15% discount for three months is not applied automatically.

Customers need to confirm that they are using their vehicle less to access the discount, and Youi says it expects about 30-35% of its customers to take it up.

Dr Leigh refers to pending court action relating to a royal commission case study, and asks if Youi expects any further similar legal action. It does not.
