Suncorp is undertaking an internal and external recruitment process to find a replacement for Darren Abbruzzese, its CIO Insurance who departs to take a senior role at NAB next month.

NAB told insuranceNEWS.com.au that Mr Abbruzzese will become its CIO, Business and Private Banking, on August 9.

Suncorp confirmed it has begun searching for a replacement.

Mr Abbruzzese has been at the insurer for almost four years, after a decade at ANZ. He was Suncorp’s Acting Group CIO for five months, after Sarah Harland vacated the role, until the appointment of Adam Bennett in July last year.
