Wesfarmers acquires NT brokerage
Wesfarmers Insurance Division now claims to be the biggest provider of broking services in the Northern Territory.
In its first acquisition of the year, Wesfarmers-owned OAMPS has bought Katherine-based DPR Insurance Brokers.
Wesfarmers Communications Manager Robert Swinton told insuranceNEWS.com.au with offices already in Darwin and Alice Springs, the company is now the largest in the territory.
He says the brokerage staff of three will all stay on. “They do a lot of work with the local Aboriginal communities with commercial liability insurance,” he said.
DPR owner Dennis Rebbeck says the brokerage will be re-branded under OAMPS.
