Rothbury Insurance Brokers has taken control of Tasman Insurance Consultants after settling the purchase deal with the Insured Group on December 1.

Auckland-based Tasman operates in the middle corporate and small-medium enterprise markets with a total of 14 staff.

Rothbury MD Roger Abel says the two broking groups are well aligned, and the company remains focused on further expansion in some key regions “where there is a recognised opportunity for growth”. 

Rothbury is the largest NZ-owned and operated insurance broking business with a network of 13 broking branches across New Zealand and a team of 140 people. Tasman will become its 14th branch.
