Aon national head leaves for regional role

Aon is searching for a new Australia CEO after promoting Jennifer Richards to a regional role.

Ms Richards will become CEO for Asia-Pacific next week, taking over from Anne Corona, who was recently named enterprise clients chief and global chief commercial officer.

She will continue working with the Australian executive leadership team to ensure a smooth transition as the global broker searches for her successor.

On her new position, Ms Richards wrote on LinkedIn: “I am looking forward to working even more closely with talented colleagues across the region to further build on our existing momentum and accelerate our ability to help our clients navigate the multifaceted, complex and interconnected challenges they face.

“I feel so privileged to have had 13 wonderful years with Aon in Australia – and the opportunity to work with such incredible colleagues, carriers and clients.

“Fortunately, Australia is an important part of the Asia-Pacific region and I will hold all these relationships tightly as I start my exciting next chapter with Aon in Singapore.”

Ms Richards will report to CEO of regions Lori Goltermann, join the Aon executive committee and move to Singapore from Sydney.

“Jennifer’s experience, Aon United mindset and ability to build and inspire high-performing teams position her to lead the Asia-Pacific region to continued success,” Ms Goltermann said.

Ms Richards began her current role in October 2021, becoming the first woman to run the broker’s business in Australia, after James Baum moved to London for a new position.

Before joining Aon, she held several senior management roles at AIG.
