Australian-owned and operated website Policycomparison.com, which allows brokers to compare a wide range of insurance policies, has been made available to New Zealand brokers.

The website prompted a positive response at the Insurance Brokers Association of New Zealand conference in Rotorua last week.

Policy Comparison International MD Allan Manning told Sunrise Exchange News that NZ brokers saw value in the product’s ability to help them keep up to date with the latest pricing issues.

“Some brokers have even bought the product already, and it’s still under development,” Mr Manning said.  “The product allows brokers to easily compare products and choose the best options to suit their clients’ requirements. NZ has a similar market, and participants have similar needs to their Australian counterparts.”

The NZ site has 27 domestic policies and two commercial packs from seven general insurers. Insurers and policies will continue to be added.
