Lumley reshuffles executive positions in move to regional structure
Lumley Insurance is restructuring to give more autonomy to regional managers.
CEO John Nagle says adopting a simplified regional model will enable the company to use its scale and capability while being able to offer a local approach to underwriting.
Under the new structure the management team will consist of Mr Nagle, Rob Funnell (Corporate Solutions and Victoria), Beth Uehling (NSW and Queensland), Rodney Bond (WA, SA and Branch Network) and Andrew Farlow (Claims).
A new Head of Operations and Performance will be appointed to initiate improvement programs. Reporting into this role will be Head of Distribution Anthony Cooper, Head of Business Improvement Vas Bhandari, and Manager – Business Performance Doug Berge.
The reshuffle will see Lumley’s Manager Branch Network Tony LaRocca and Queensland State Manager Kerrie Challenor leaving the company.
State Manager South Australia Tibor Godrik will add responsibility as manager for the Branch Network to his role and Lumley will recruit a new Queensland State Manager.
Mr Nagle says the new structure will enable Lumley to respond quickly to changed market conditions.
Brokers will continue to deal with their local relationship manager, state relationship manager or underwriting contact.
“When this structure is firmly embedded in the business, they will notice improved levels of service and greater access to decision makers in the region,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
He says no further staff changes are expected under the restructure.
