Niche car insurer Just Car has taken the claims process to the Apple iPhone, launching Australia’s first iClaim application.

The Suncorp-owned insurer is firming its place among its target market of people aged 18 to 34. It says 61% of people in this market own an iPhone. There are 720,000 iPhones in circulation, with that number expected to grow by 160% this year.

The application guides customers through all the steps if they are involved in an accident to help process their claim. It also includes an interactive 2D function so they can select and submit pictures of the damaged areas of their car.

The application also allows customers to document their accident, upload photos and let the insurer know when is the best time to follow up the claim.
