IAG overhauls employee benefits
IAG Australia has changed its staff benefits offer under a new three-year enterprise agreement.
It will now offer 20 weeks of gender-neutral paid parental leave, or 40 weeks at half pay, available from the start of employment.
It is also offering uncapped paid family and domestic violence leave and strengthened support for employees, and five days of paid “myLeave” for “unexpected life moments or important occasions”.
Staff supporting immediate family or household members affected by family or domestic violence can access up to 10 days of paid leave.
“To continue to attract and retain the fantastic talent we have within our organisation, we must keep pace with people’s evolving needs,” IAG executive of people performance and reputation Christine Stasi said.
“We’re proud of the culture we’ve created and the leading benefits we offer.”
IAG’s gender equity and flexible workplace initiatives include 20 days of paid gender affirmation leave for transgender or gender-diverse employees; adjusted start and finish times; hybrid work options; job sharing and secondments; and career breaks, special leave and shorter working years.
