Honan Insurance Group has announced it will acquire life insurance specialist and risk adviser Trumpet Financial.

Honan says the move “complements” its position as a “leading general insurance broker” to explore new markets and add expertise to its life insurance offerings.

Trumpet Financial adds to the list of companies acquired by Honan since it partnered with private equity firm TA Associates in 2020. Honan says the moves are a “defining strategic pillar for the business” as it reports a compounded annual growth rate of 30% over the last three years.

“Trumpet’s commitment to simplifying life insurance and personal risk management services, as well as its outstanding commitment to claims advocacy for clients aligns with our goal to challenge the status quo and do insurance differently,” Honan CEO Andrew Fluitsma said.

Trumpet Financial Founder and Principal Adviser Todd Rowson says the partnership will provide the company with “added muscle” to build on its strengths and provide new market opportunities.
