Gallagher continues Australian takeover spree
Gallagher has taken ownership of P2 Group, an occupational health practice in Victoria, building on recent investments aimed at expanding its offerings in Australia.
The US broking giant says the transaction terms are confidential.
“P2 Group is a highly specialised consulting firm that expands our retail brokerage division’s workplace risk practice’s footprint and services into the Victorian market and offers us additional cross-selling opportunities,” President and CEO Patrick Gallagher said.
The Victorian business offers WorkCover resolution services and expertise in areas such as early intervention, ageing workforce management and claims cost and premium analysis.
“We are excited to join Gallagher and boost the occupational health service offerings, providing a national reach of experts to resolve outstanding WorkCover claims and proactively reduce the need for future complex claims,” P2 says on its website.
In recent months Gallagher has acquired local businesses including The Protectors Group brokerage in Sydney, Donnellys Insurance Brokers in Adelaide and agribusiness broker AgriRisk Services.
It has also taken over JLT’s global aerospace broking business, including operations in Australia and New Zealand.
